Speaking at Tom Mboya College today (Tuesday) to a group of Nyalenda youths, the county rural gender sociologist Florence Atera has called upon the youths to attend such trainings stating that most of the NGOs deal with HIV AIDS programmes and offered various opportunities for HTC Counsellors.

Atera noted through HIV AIDS trainings skills would equip youths with the necessary knowledge and skills required in the field calling upon them to take such trainings seriously adding that it is a path way to equipping them with job opportunities.

“We need to train our youths to be HTC counsellors and through this, loss of lives would have been reduced as great number of young informed youths would help the society in delivering service through guidance, testing and counselling exercise,” noted Atera.

Kisumu young elites chairperson Fleming Otieno also challenged the youths to ensure that they are trained as HTC counsellors to get job opportunities.
