The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has come under heavy fire over the surge in the fuel prices.Political leaders have expressed deep concern that the instability in the fuel prices will make it difficult to do business.Legislators over there are mulling over amending the Energy Regulatory Commission Act to correct that.The Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) secretary-general Francis Atwoli weighed in on the matter, calling for the government to intervene quickly.''We are deeply concerned about these frequent increases in the price of fuel. This is having an effect on the cost of doing business. We are calling for the government's intervention,'' Mr. Atwoli said.
