Francis Atwoli says the Luhya community will support Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi or any other candidates he endorses for presidency.
Even though Mudavadi, a former Vice President has maintained that he will be in ballot, facing Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka in NASA primaries will be inevitable.
The Central Organization for Trade Unions Secretary General further insists that Luhya community has no option other than voting as a block.
“Luhyas will place votes in one basket and that is an assurance. We shall vote Musalia or whoever he tells us to vote for president,” he said.
The outspoken trade unionist added: “If he says we vote Wetangula, Raila or Kalonzo, we shall still do that. We shall even support Uhuru Kenyatta if he directs as so.”
Mudavadi, who also served as Deputy Prime Minister during grand coalition government, is the brainchild of the opposition alliance, Nasa.
Last year, Atwoli presided over a ceremony at Muliro gardens in which Mudavadi was installed Luhya defacto leader.
