Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli has received a backlash for supporting the ongoing work by Nairobi governor Mike Sonko.
This is after Atwoli commended Sonko for steering good work at the helm of the county government.
"I have been observing Govenor Sonko's demeanor ever since his inauguration in August and I have concluded that he is a serious leader with vision. His hands-on approach is reminiscent of President Magufuli's earlier days. Let me reiterate that being a stakeholder of NASA does not stop me from appreciating revolutionary work. By 2022, Nairobi will be like Geneva," Atwoli said.
However, Kenyans were quick to find fault in the statement.
"Mzee Atwoli wacha ujinga, this is daylight robbery you are praising!" said Mike Magero.
"With hawkers all over and matatus dropping and picking passengers anywhere? Boss which Nairobi do you live in?" asked Benja Mulei.
Others read political treachery in Atwoli's praise and were quick to 'return to the sender'.
"Mr Atwoli keep up for your great observation. But I urge you to advise your party leader not to try want he wants to do on 12th December for our security," warned Gitong Mwiti.
"Hapo kwa Geneva ni wet dreams," said Thunanira Wita.
"But Sonko wants it to be like Kigali in Rwanda Mr Atwoli. Why are you taking it to Geneva?" chided Evans Momanyi.
"Atwoli like your appreciation, everybody needs transformation. Let Sonko do his job and make sure Nairobi is clean the same way he got it. Nyandarua road is full of faeces that many left seeing during Gakuo and Kisiah," lamented Michael Onyango
