[Photo/COTU]COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to appoint one Cabinet Secretary of Labour without combining it with any other ministry. Addressing Aviation Sector Workers Meeting at Solidarity Buildings, Atwolu also requested Uhuru to retain Dr Fred Matiang'i as a Cabinet Secretary in charge of Education. He addressed various challenges affecting the Aviation industry over the weekend.His request follows Uhurus partial cabinet appointment.On Friday, Uhuru retained six of his cabinet secretaries and said he would make further changes later.He retained: Henry Rotich (National Treasury), James Macharia (Transport and Infrastructure) Fred Matiang’i, (Interior and Co-ordination of National Government, and acting Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Education), Charles Keter (Energy), Joe Mucheru (ICT) and Najib Balala of Tourism.President also nominated former Turkana Senator John Munyes, former Marsabit Governor Ukur Yattani and former Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko to Cabinet.
