[Photo/the-star.co.ke]Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli is now calling on the National Resistance Movement to re-consider the economic boycott campaign.According to Atwoli, NASA leader Raila Odinga should consider workers as he calls for product boycotts. This is after Raila called on his supporters to boycott products from Bidco, Brookside, and Safaricom. The opposition argues that the companies are government friendly and boycotting their products will force the state to listen to their demands.Speaking on Monday, Atwoli said that the boycott is dangerous and it would hurt workers as quoted. He also called on Raila to create employment for the youth who graduate from higher institutions.“As workers, we are appealing to the Nasa leadership to consider that stand on the boycott in order to save jobs and create more employment for youth who are leaving our institutions,” said Atwoli.
