COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has called on Supreme Court judges to ensure justice prevails during the ruling on the presidential petition.
According to the trade unionist, for the country to prosper, justice must prevail.
“For this country to prosper...for us to be where we want to be, justice is the pillar. So we expect justice from our competent judges who are handling this issue," He is quoted by the Star.
He further urged the public to maintain peace ahead of the much awaited ruling.
“Let us wait for the judgment. But above all, my humble appeal to my fellow Kenyans is that we need to continue with our daily work and there should be peace. We need to keep peace."
He was speaking in Mombasa during the Agricultural Society of Kenya on Wednesday.
The petition was filed in court by NASA seeking the court’s orders to nullify President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.
