Cotu boss Francis Atwoli has strongly come out to fault the move by Jubilee Party MPs to amend the Elections Act.
Atwoli said that this will quickly reverse the gains Kenya has made in poll management.
He said the MPs are beneficiaries of a flawed electoral process cited in the Supreme Court ruling that nullified presidential results.
He accused the MPs of placing stumbling blocks in Kenya's quest for democracy and predicted some of them (MPs) will become victims of the same changes in the next election 2022.
“What they are doing is not good for the election. The same fate will befall them in 2022 if they are not careful,” Mr Atwoli said on Thursday.
He was speaking in Nairobi during the launch of Pan African Programme, Cotu's leadership training platform.
“If they continue fighting and tribalising this country we will tell them no. we have that power. If the labour movement teams up with the civil society we will be strong and our voice will be heard,” Mr Atwoli said.
