The African Union observer mission has declined to comment on hacking claims made by the NASA coalition.

Unlike other observers, AU observers declined to issue any statement on the claims.

The mission is headed by former South African President Thabo Mbeki.

Mbeki noted the AU is here to observe the electoral process, not hacking allegations.

"As an observer mission, we did not observe any hacking. We are not an investigative mission but just observers of the process," he said.

Howerver, Mbeki added the IEBC must investigate the allegations seriously even if it is not satisfied with NASA’s evidence.
