The planned auction of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo’s land in Kitale failed to take place.
Valley Auctioneers, who were contracted by Kenya Deposit Insurance Company (KDIC), did not get the required buyer that could match the Sh70 million price for the property.
The land measures 102.7 acres and is 18km away from Kitale town.
The set reserve price puts an acre on the farm at about Sh682,000.
The auction targetted to recover a defaulted loan in the now collapsed Dubai Bank.
