President Uhuru Kenyatta's directive on lifestyle audit should include Kenya's founding father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has said.
On Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said that together with his deputy William Ruto, they will undergo a lifestyle audit to determine the source of their wealth.
"We are with the President on this, in fact, more than 100 per cent. We ask everyone to submit to the audit including political leaders and their families. We will start with Mzee Jomo, then follow with him and the rest of us," Sudi said.
It is not clear if President Uhuru will heed the call by Sudi who has been considered as a Jubilee rebel.
Sudi stated that he was also ready to undergo an audit.
He spoke during the burial of Raymond Kipchumba - a GSU officer, at Chepkoiya village in Uasin Gishu county on Saturday.
Sudi said he will account for what he owns as well as what his father owns.
On Friday, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumaba Murkomen said that he was afraid that the lifestyle audit might expose leaders perceived to be wealthy.
