The office of the Auditor General will in two weeks' time make public 47 audit reports for all the County Assemblies and county executives alike.
Speaking on Tuesday morning, Auditor General Dr Edward Ouko affirmed that the reports will widely focus on how the two levels of administration in county governments have appropriated or misappropriated their revenue allocations.
Ouko pointed out that he will further reveal how the various county governments have used development allocations, and also how they have addressed any loopholes that might have led to loss of public monies in the past.
“In the particular reports, we will inform of how the county assemblies have spent the resources allocated to them. We shall also reveal how the county executive responded, used and accounted for the recurrent development allocations,” he said.
The Auditor General further issued that the financial reports are currently at a very advanced stage, with close to eighty percent of them already processed.
It is now expected that the report will reveal the most corrupt counties as well as the counties that managed an appropriated their monies as required.
In March this year, EACC report on counties ranked Garissa as the most corrupt county.
