Third way Alliance presidential candidate for the just concluded August 8 general elections Ekuru Aukot has come out to admit that the exercise was marred with cases of irregularity.
Speaking in an interview on NTV Wednesday,Aukot said that some of the data released by the national poll body IEBC with regards to the Presidential race results do not add up saying that there are instances where the released results were simply impossible and unbelievable.
''There is an instant where in a polling station in Embu only I got votes with all the other candidates getting nothing. The same happened in Kisian Kisumu county where the form 34a shows that Raila Odinga got zero vote. This is completely impossible and it shows just how much the poll was a mess up,'' said Aukot who has since conceded defeat in the race that saw President Uhuru Kenyatta announced winner.
Aukot now seems to be in agreement with the opposition whose flag bearer for the same race Raila Odinga has since cried foul and challenged the results.Raila has maintained that the results released by the IEBC were cooked electronically maintaining that his camp had won the race.
Aukot now wants the IEBC to avail all the form 34As and 34Bs for all the 8 candidates who took part in the election to clear their doubts.
''Everything shows that something is not adding up and IEBC should now consider availing all the original forms for us to have a closer look,'' he said.
