Thirdway Party leader Ekuro Aukot has called for the resignation of IEBC mangers who mismanaged presidential election.

Speaking on Sunday, Aukot said IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, CEO Ezra Chiloba, head of ICT James Muhatia, Immaculate Kasait(director of elections) and Praxidice Tororei (director of legal affairs) should leave office.

“The Judgment established that the IEBC mismanaged this election including the tampering of forms 34Bs, 34As. To that extent Chiloba, being the CEO of the Commission must take full responsibility and vacate office immediately. Consequently, all the 290 Returning officers should resign immediately,” Aukot said.

“ While we care for the institutional memory of the institution, which Chiloba epitomizes currently, we will not accept the commission of offences, illegality and irregularities under his watch. That is why we call on Chiloba to take full responsibility.,” he added.

Aukot, who ran for the presidency, joined NASA leaders in calling for the resignation of the team after claims that the body mishandled the polls.
