October 26th presidential election Dr Ekuru Aukot, has raised his voice, after IEBC Commissioner Dr Roselyn Akombe resigned from the electoral agency, Wednesday morning.
He expressed his disappointment in the commission, saying chairman Wafula Chebukati, should come out clearly and explain to the country, what is going on.
According to him, Chebukati and the rest of the commissioners, assured Kenyans that there would be an election, on the said date, adding that he is not confident in the election.
"With this resignations, and what is going on, I don't have confidence inn the Commission. My confidence in IEBC is not 100%. Chebukati should come out and tell Kenyans the level of preparedness," he said.
Speaking to a local television station, on phone, the Thirdway Alliance leader, indicated that IEBC could be lying to Kenyans, that it is ready for the election.
"There's alot of concerns about it, but Chebukati should call all the stakeholders, the political class, and speak about this."
Aukot further said the political class was playing a role in intimidating the IEBC staff, saying the agency has been infiltrated by both Jubilee and NASA, the two top political coalitions.
He said he would communicate later, if he will be part of the election, following the new developments.
