Students have been advised to shun football betting as it is turning to be 'tragic'.
According to Mark Too, a lecturer in a Nakuru-based college, students are using their tuition money to gamble which is turning tragic after losing.
"Students should avoid this betting craze,"he said.
"Many of these students are using their parents money which they are given for fees. When they lose, they can't imagine facing their parents," he added.
Too spoke a day after a third year Egerton University student committted suicide after he allegedly lost a Sh40, 000 bet.
