Aspirants seeking political seats in Kisii county have been urged to avoid politics that will divide the Gusii community ahead of 2017.

Speaking at a funeral at Kiogoro ward in his constituency, Tong'i said that it is time for aspirants to engage in constructive politics to improve the lives of the community.
"Aspirants seeking political seats have started early campaigns. I wish to urge them to engage in politics that will see our region prosper. They should avoid attacking the current leaders holding offices they are interested in ahead of the 2017 elections. It is time for the aspirants to show what they will offer the community once elected," he noted.
He called upon the Gusii community to avoid politicians who subdivide them as elections nears.
