IDPs under the umbrella body, Peace and Reconciliation Association, have called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to desist from exchanging words with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Addressing media in Nakuru led by the Chief Executive Peace and Reconciliation Association Mr. Stephen Mbugua Muthama, they said such exchange of words was not leading the country in good direction.

“We want to call on President Uhuru Kenyatta to desist this habit of exchanging words with Raila Odinga because we are afraid such exchange of words might land us into problems,” he said.

The caucus said the money being used for a repeat of elections should have been used to compesate them.

“Almost 12 billion shillings have been set aside for repeat of elections yet we still have IDPs who are yet to be compensated. That money could have been used to compensate them so that they can go back to their normal life,” said Mbugua.
