Homa Bay governor Cyprian Awiti has become the latest governor to lose his seat in an election petition filed by his rival in the August 8 polls.
Awiti's main rival former Kasipul MP Mr Oyugi Magwanga successfully petitioned the case before Justice Joseph Karanja who found that the elections were not conducted in a free, fair and verifiable manner thus giving room for a by-election.
