Komen on Wednesday said that he received a dismissal letter from Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua on Monday.

He has blamed his sacking on political witch-hunt saying there have been differences between him and the Nakuru deputy governor.

He said he will move to court to challenge the sacking.

His sacking, however, did not come as a surprise as he had earlier received a warning letter demanding he shows cause why action should not be taken against him after he was accused of absconding duty.

“As this state of affairs cannot be allowed indefinitely, I intend to take necessary official action against you, but before I take the intended action, this letter is to ask you to show cause as to why I should not do so,” the letter stated.

But in a statement he posted on his official facebook account, Komen detailed the politics behind his sacking saying he has not been in good books with the governor and his deputy due to his position on several matters.
