Student Organisation of Nairobi University (Sonu) chairman, Babu Owino's incitement to violence case has been adjourned to October 15.
Milimani senior principal magistrate, Kennedy Cheruiyot pushed the case forward after a crucial prosecution witnesses failed to appear in court on Monday making the prosecutor apply for the adjournment.
The court heard that the witness, the investigating officer was handling another matter at the Nakuru Law Courts.
Through his lawyer, the Sonu student leader informed the court that he was not ready to proceed with the case since the prosecution has not supplied him with the documents they will be relying on during the proceedings including witness statements.
Owino is said to have uttered remarks at Orange House in Nairobi on June 13 while warning Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria against threatening to assassinate Cord leader, Raila Odinga.
The prosecution claimed he said: “We are telling and warning you, Ngunjiri and Moses Kuria, that our revolution is coming and we are looking for you. If we get you, we will deal with you cacophonously and multiply you by zero and raise to power infinity."
The student leader is out on a Sh500 000 bond.
