Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino has come out guns blazing over the ongoing alleged police killings in a section of regions perceived to be opposition strongholds.
Reports from various sources including KHRC indicate that a number of people have been killed by the police following protests over presidential outcome.
And on Sunday at Kibra, the outgoing SONU leader labeled acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i ‘Gunia ya Makaa’ loosely translating to a ‘sack of charcoal’.
“Police are killing people aimlessly and someone is coming in public to deny that. Matiangi is just a sack of charcoal and he must be warned.
“People of Kenya have a right to picket and nobody should deny them that constitutional right. He must be held accountable for all these deaths,” he said.
On Saturday, Matiangi who also doubles as Education Cabinet Secretary dismissed claims that police had killed people in Kibra, Mathare and Kisumu.
A report by KNHC indicates that at least 24 people have denied since Friday when IEBC declared President Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of Tuesday elections.
