Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has got his first win from an election petition case filed against him by Jubilee’s Francis Mureithi.

On Thursday, the Court allowed Owino to file his responses to the petition challenging his win during the August 8 election .

Mureithi had moved to court accusing Owino of not filing responce on time.

Through his twitter account, Owino shared a photo of himself kneeling in front of a church and captioned it:

 "We've won the 1st battle of the petition against me as the current Embakasi East MP. The court will admit all our responses. Glory be to God!"

There were fears that the lawmaker could lose his seat for failing to file responce on time.
