Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, his Ruaraka counterpart TJ Kajwang and former Starehe MP candidate Steve Mbogo have been detained.
The politicians were arrested Thursday afternoon as they headed to Kibera in defiance of an earlier police order barring a NASA rally in the area.
They were detained at Kilimani Police Station and reports indicate that they will be released after interrogation.
“We just want to question them," said a senior police officer at the station as reported by Capital FM.
It has not been made clear whether they will be released today or will be left to spend the night in police cells.
