Embakasi East lawmaker Babu Owino is the latest leader to send a message of condolences to friends and family of departed Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru.
Governor Gakuru lost his life while recuperating at the Thika Level 5 hospital after a gruesome road accident at Kabati along the Thika-Nairobi highway Tuesday morning.
In a post on his official Facebook page Tuesday, Owino terms it as an untimely and painful demise calling upon the entire Nyeri fraternity to take heart at this hard moment.
''I hereby wish to register my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and the entire Nyeri County fraternity for the untimely and painfuldemise of their governor Hon. Wahome Gakuru after he suffered a gruesome accident along Kenol-Kabati road this morning,'' he says.
''On behalf of Embakasi East residents we wish you God's grace in this trying moment,'' Owino continues.
His body has since been shifted to Lee Funeral home for preservation with his deputy Mutahi Kahiga expected to take over for the remainder of the term.
