Babu and Omanga who lost the Nairobi Women Representative seat to ODM's Esther Passaris during the August 8 general election on Tuesday drove to Embakasi East where they distributed bursary money to need students in the constituency.

The two displayed a rare show on Tuesday that Embaksi East constituents would never think would come especially after the two leaders threw insults at one another on social media during campaigns.

"I would love to take this opportunity to appreciate my sister Millicent Omanga, Lower Savanah Ward MCA  Nicholas Okumu and thousands of patriots who showed up at Jacaranda grounds to help me award bursaries to our sisters and brothers in various secondary schools, tertiary institutions and universities," Babu posted on his official Facebook page after the event.

Babu described the his re-union with Omanga as "good politics" which he said would drive the country to the path of development.

Omanga is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto while Babu enjoys support from opposition leader Raila Odinga.

The re-union may signify that the recent famous 'golden handshake' between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila is bearing unity fruits in the country.
