Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino has spoken on the ban on demonstrations in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa Central Business Districts.
Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i on Thursday said the state will not allow protests in the cities.
Matiang'i said the demonstrators were causing chaos and affecting businesses in the towns.
"Due to the clear present and imminent danger of the breach of peace and public order as witnessed in recent demonstrations, the government notifies the public that for the time being, we will not allow demonstrations within central business districts of Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu," said Dr Matiang'i in a media briefing.
However in a response, outspoken MP Owino has said Nasa supporters will continue to hold protests.
The ODM MP said that only Raila Odinga can call off their protests.
"Only Raila Odinga has the power to call off our anti IEBC demos. Any other communication should be treated as statistics," Owino posted on Twitter, Thursday.
