In an exclusive interview on Citizen TV JKL show, Owino said that he backs the call for the audit on all senior government officials.

He also said that the fight against corruption will only become successful if all the public servants back the process.

“I’ll be the first person to present myself when this thing comes, in fact, I don’t even want the president to start it. I want Babu Owino himself to start the lifestyle audit because corruption is destroying this nation,” said Babu.

He also said that he only has two cars; one for his wife and another for himself.

The remarks of the lawmaker comes after President Uhuru said that days of corrupt government officials are numbered.

Uhuru has affirmed that all corrupt individuals will be prosecuted.

Deputy President William Ruto has also backed the call for an audit.

He said that he will present himself to EACC officers for the audit.

Speaking during the 43rd Annual National Conference of Principals at Wild Waters in Mombasa County on Wednesday, Ruto said he has nothing to hide.

“I will submit myself for a lifestyle audit in a new scheme announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta recently,” he said.
