A group of Jubilee party officials in Uasin Gishu county have condemned recent utterances by Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili Owino aka Babu Owinu targeting President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The group termed the statement as demeaning not only to the president but also to his family.

Addressing the press at the Eldoret Cathedral grounds, Wednesday, the Jubilee party officials led by the vice chairperson Joseph Amdany said the youthful MP's 'immature' utterances were a sign that he has not gone through all the stages of life.

"There are stages in life that a person needs to through beginning from childhood, youthfulness, manhood and then old age but by the look of things, that MP skipped some of those stages," noted Mr. Amdany.

"I think he (Babu Owinu) needs to revisit that skipped stage because there's a part of the body that if touched a man can never demean his mother or a woman no matter what happens," he added.

The first-term MP known for controversy is alleged to have made reference to President Uhuru Kenyatta as 'mtoto wa mbwa'.

He has already been arraigned in court and charged with subversion, insulting the president and incitement.
