Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is set to host President Uhuru Kenyatta.
This is part of mending bridges between the two leaders after falling out early this year.
Owino took to social media on Saturday to reveal the president’s plans to attend a title deed handing event in Embakasi.
“I would love to thank President Uhuru Kenyatta for having responded to my appeal to the ministry of lands to have more than 5600 families receive title deeds as soon as possible,” he stated.
Uhuru is set to personally issue the deeds on Saturday, June 2.
“The President has this evening committed to personally issue out the first batch of title deeds to Embakasi East residents latest on 2nd June in a public function. I urge all my affected constituents to grace the occasion on the day of title deeds issuance which is subject to confirmation between 30th of this month and 2nd June,” he went on.
The relationship between the two leaders has been strained for a while.
