Former Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has addressed his electorates days after his election was nullified by the High Court.
On Friday, the High Court nullified Owino's election in a petition filed by his rival Francis Mureithi over alleged malpractices on the voting day and during the tallying process.
Speaking on Monday during an interview, Owino called upon his supporters to be patient and await the next step.
He said that the nullification of the results does not mean that his votes are gone.
The controversial lawmaker assured his supporters that he will continue to serve them as he has done from the time of his election.
"To Embakasi East people you made a choice in 2017... I have never rested. We lost the petition but we have not lost the votes.Trust Babu Owino will always serve," said Owino.
Owino has since appealed the ruling.
