The court reversed the High Court's initial nullification of his August 8 reelection, in agreement with his biggest rival in the race on the ruling Jubilee Party (JP) ticket Francis Mureithi.

Speaking after the ruling on Friday, Owino hailed the court for the decision, now inviting Mureithi's quarters to jump on board in service delivery for area constituents.

"My opponents must now get up from the ground, dust-up and move forward. I invite them to join me in serving Embakasi residents," said the lawmaker.

He further urged Mureithi's side to accept the decision and prepare for the next edition of the contest, calling upon them to now concentrate on recovering from the blow.

According to the opposition's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) parliamentarian, the quarters must accept the result and accept to be led by him.

"In politics there is time to lead and to be led. It's my time to lead and my opponents must accept to be led. They must respect the people in power so as to be respected during their tenure too" said the young leader rather mockingly.
