Karachuonyo MP James Rege has urged Nyanza region voters to back President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid during the forthcoming general elections.
Rege, who was elected on an ODM party ticket both in 2007 and 2013 ditched the Opposition Party for Jubilee early this year.
Speaking in Kendu Bay Show Grounds on Friday, the lawmaker accused top ODM leadership of branding him "a Jubilee mole", leading to his unceremonious exit from the Raila Odinga-led outfit.
“I’m tired of the party affairs where some people are out to suppress the views of others for theirs to prevail,” he said.
"They castigated me as a mole yet I was a faithful and committed life member," he added.
He rolled out the NYS programme in his constituency during the event.
“The 1,000 youths absorbed in NYS programme in the constituency are some of the benefits we’ve got from Jubilee administration,” he said.
The legislator is set to lead President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election campaign in the region.
