The DP asked residents not to be swayed by empty promises by some of leaders.

The DP who spoke at St Joseph Catholic Church in Mutituni, Machakos County on Sunday said that the Jubilee government was keen to transform Ukambani region.

“You (locals) should not be deceived by cheap and empty politics being perpetuated by some leaders who have failed to deliver on their promises,” said the DP.

The DP said that Jubilee government is keen to transform the country equally.

He said that the Jubilee government had outlined massive development agenda which will change people’s lives.

He asked locals to remain peaceful ahead of the polls.

“Unity should be our first priority as Kenyans and we should not allow ourselves to be divided on tribal grounds,” said the DP.

The Deputy President as accompanied by several Ukambani politicians who recently ditched the Kalonzo Musyoka led Wiper Democratic Movement for the Jubilee Party.
