Bagichora residents in Nyamira County on Monday protested over poor state of roads in the region.According to them, they are forced to incur huge losses when transporting their farm products to nearby markets
“Today we have packed all our Matatus and asked all the businessmen who bring their products to this market to join us. We want to pressure the government to at least repair these roads for us,” said Solomon Odongo, a driver.“As women, we cannot even travel with our small kids because you will be charged up to Sh500 to go town,” added Elizabeth Mwikali.
They now want the county government of Nyamira to move in speed and repair a number of main feeder roads in the region.
