Bahati Businessman Dedan Mwenda has challenged Nakuru County government to ensure resources collected from various sectors in Bahati Sub-county, are used to improve the lives of residents.
Mwenda who eyes Bahati parliamentary seat in August polls, said a time had come for the resources collected in the area, benefit the people of Bahati and the entire Nakuru County.
He said Bahati had a lot of resources from the quarries and the GDC company, that could be used to improve the welfare of the people.
“Bahati has a lot of resources and it is upon the leadership to ensure the locals also benefit. GDC is doing good since it has employed our people but the resources that we get from these investments should also be monitored so that it does not end in the pockets of some individuals,'' he said.
