Speaking Monday, Ngunjiri said he had been forced to resort to the action because he realised that some of his constituents had been bribed at a fee of Sh 200 to vote in Nyandarua.

He directed that any form of CDF help be it bursary or any related assistance, should  only be rendered to bona fide Bahati residents who will have produced a voter's card to prove their eligibility.

His directive comes barely days after three men among them an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission official were arrested in the constituency over claims that they were planning to carry out a voter transfer exercise.

During the incident, police netted a voter registration kit which they suspected was to be used by the suspects in committing the felony.
