Popular gospel musician Bahati has shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate about legalization of marijuana.
According to the 'mama' hitmaker, he has no problem with the herb beng made legal in the country.
In an interview with the Standard, Bahati however cautioned that the substance should be used in a controlled manner among those who use it.
"It is a God given plant that grows naturally. I don’t use it but I have no problem with those who use it meaningfully,” said Bahati.
Currently, a petition is circulating online regarding the matter.
To date, over 3000 people have signed the petition in support of legalization.
The petition was brought up by researcher Gwada Ogot who argues that marijuana has a lot of health benefits to the human body.
Already, he has presented his case to the Senate Health Committee.
Globally,Canada is the latest country that has hinted it might legalize Marijuana.
