Bahati MP, Kimani Ngunjiri launched a a piped water project Umoja Phase II, Lanet Ward, Bahati Sub-County on Monday. Ngunjiri said that the government is committed in provision of clean water to all Bahati residents .

“The government has put measures to ensure all Bahati residents have access to clean water," said Ngunjiri .

The project is a partnership between Uzima Springs, a Non-Governmental organization and the Nakuru County government.

Ngunjiri also urged local residents to support the national and the county governments in provision of clean water . The legislator added the remaining areas will get access to clean water after more resources are available .

“Due to constraint of cash we are not able to provide all areas with piped water but as soon as we get more cash we will provide the remaining areas with piped water," said Ngunjiri .

He however cautioned the residents against misusing the scarce water to enable more residents benefit from it .

“Water is scarce and I appeal to those who have benefited from the project to utilize it properly “, said Ngunjiri

Ngunjiri called upon the county government to improve water supply and sanitation in other neighboring sub counties
