Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri on Sunday at Lanent/Umoja area, Bahati Sub-County, Nakuru County led anti-alcoholic raid that saw over 150 cartons of second generation spirits destroyed .
The crack down also saw bars, wines and spirits outlets selling outlawed alcohol closed .
Speaking after leading the crackdown, Ngunjiri said that the fight against second generation drinks would continue till all operations associated with the outlawed alcohol were unearthed.
"We will make sure the lethal liquor is eradicated in accordance to the head of state directive,"said Ngunjiri.
Ngunjiri thanked the members of the public for providing the vital information and urged them to cooperate with the government in eradicating lethal liquor.
"I commend local residents for providing the information. We will continue to work with provincial administration in ensuring all alcoholic dens are closed," he added.
The legislator assured free treatment and rehabilitation to people suffering from alcoholism in the area.
"We advise them to seek treatment in all public hospitals as the service is free. Those affected should not shy away from counselling, it is important," he said.
The lawmaker further said he would organize road shows in the whole constituency to create awareness against lethal liquor .
