Hon. Kimani Ngunjiri, the MP for Bahati constituency in Nakuru county has led Nakuru residents in passing messages of condolences to the family of the deceased musician Paul Mwangi better known as Salim Junior.

Speaking to the press on Saturday, the legislator said that death would not have come at a worse time considering the plans he and Salim had for the future.

“We had proposed to set up a music academy with my friend Salim Junior. I had already promised to donate a plot to set up the academy but unfortunately, death has taken him away,” said Hon. Kimani.

The musician who passed away at a Nakuru hospital was famous for his music remixes both in the gospel and secular categories. He was born in Subukia from a musical family and his father was also a renowned musician.

“We have lost a comrade, a friend and an inspiration,” said Simon Ben, a gospel musician and radio presenter in Nakuru.

His words were echoed by many residents who were shocked at the news of the demise.
