Speaking during the launch of construction of a Cruise Ship Terminal at the port of Mombasa, Balala urged Joho to undertake different projects that will boost the county's economy, instead of politicking.

Balala said he was ready to support Joho in his fight to change the lives of the people of Mombasa, on condition that he refrains from cheap politics.

“Bwana governor, stop this petty politics and we will support you,” he said.

The CS said political matters have been derailing Governor Joho’s course to live to the promises he made during the last general elections.

He said Joho’s Sh2 billion housing projects as well as removal of tuktuks from the CBD should be lauded.
