Tourism CS Najib Balala has urged the National Super Alliance (Nasa) to postpone a scheduled rally to another week,a head of Uhuru's swearing in on Tuesday.

Addressing Nation journalists on Saturday, Balala has beseeched the opposition to re-schedule their Tuesday parallel event as a move to tame any fracas on president Uhuru's  swearing inset for the day.

"We want to discourage NASA from holding any other rally. We want them to hold it any other week if they want but not to have a competition with a legitimate process of the judiciary which recognizes Uhuru Kenyatta as the president," he said.

"Whatever NASA will do will be unconstitutional and illegal.Let us not have competition. If they want to have any event or rally,we can organize for them to have it another time but not during the swearing in which is a national pride," added Balala.

Official plans are on their last process to swear in president Uhuru Kenyatta for his second term on Tuesday after the supreme court upheld his October 26 presidential rerun that was challenged in court.

However, the opposition party fronted by Raila Odinga has also scheduled a parallel event on the same day at Jacaranda gardens in Nairobi.
