Balambala Constituency Member of Parliament Abdikader Aden has urged the youths to maintain peace ahead of next general election.
The ODM legislator said that youths should not be used to cause chaos in 2017 by politicians who are driven by their self gains.
"As we approach general election, I appeal to Balambala youths and Kenyan youths at large to keep away from politicians who would want to use them cause violence. Our youths should be ambassadors of peace as we no longer want to shed blood during elections," said Aden during a meeting with local youths in Balambala.
The MP urged youths to venture into businesses in order to make their own money other than relying on politicians to give them money.
"I always support groups who start business. Broke and poor youths are always the culprits of greedy politicians," he added.
