A group of Nyamira residents from Ritibo village have urged local Television bouquet provider Bamba TV to upgrade its networks in the area due to poor signals that renders viewing of Television impossible.
They accused the service providers of hoodwinking them through media advertisements in bid to buy the set boxes only to realize that they were not working in the region.
According to them, their effort to have the stalemate solved by calling customer care at the headquarters has not yielded results despite promises that the situation will be rectified.
“I want to urge the Bamba TV crew to respect Kenyans and speak the truth always. I purchased the set top box during the digital migration dateline by the Communications Authority of Kenya but since them I haven’t been able to view my favorite TV channels,” said Andrew Momanyi.
“This is a total joke that I can spend my fare to Nairobi to buy something that is not working. I have been calling them severally but their promises are yet to be fulfilled. The signal in this region is poor to an extent that one cannot be able to view television channels,” said Jared Gwaro.
They requested the managing of Bamba TV providers to solve the issue before they take unspecified actions against the company.
“The situation is getting worse. We can no longer get information through our TV sets despite having complied with CAK directives. They have to take an action before we take a strict step against them because they had assured us that the boxes could work anywhere,” added Gwaro.
