Ulinzi Stars handed Paul Nkata his first loss as Bandari FC coach with Godfrey Kokoyo and Enosh Ochieng scoring one goal apiece as the soldiers continued with their fine run in the league.Despite canceling the hosts' opener courtesy of a Noah Abich penalty, the Nakuru-based side responded in the second half with a fine goal to ensure that Bandari head back to Mombasa empty-handed.Credited for guiding Tusker FC's average squad to KPL glory in 2016, Paul Nkata was hired by the much-ambitious Bandari FC in their bid to much the league's big boys' success.During his short stint at the Mbaraki-based side, Nkata has proved that he is the man to guide the dockers to their maiden KPL trophy despite the Sunday loss. Before the weekend match, Bandari had not conceded a single goal since the beginning of the season thanks to his defensive-minded approach which helped him guide Tusker to the league win in his only season at the Ruaraka-based side. For the case of Bandari FC, Nkata who has KPL experience has a talented squad that can embrace his tactics starting with the back line that has veterans like Felly Mulumba and ex-Mathare United skipper Noah Abich. However, his defense was given a reality test by a team of Ulinzi's calibre.Offensively, Bandari is a side capable of scoring goals with former Gor Mahia duo of Dan Sserunkuma and Enoch Agwanda being the team's arsenal to torment opposition defense.Ahead of their next match against James Nandwa-coached Thika United, Nkata should use Sunday's match as a learning platform even as his team hopes to bounce back to winning ways.
