Bandari FC assistant coach George Owoko has expressed his frustration following the sending off of his two players during an ill-tempered match against Tusker FC on Sunday at Kinoru Stadium, Meru.

Tanzanian import Fred Cosmas gave the dockers’ an all important goal in the first half before he was sent to the stands in the second half.

And deep into the stoppage time, Bandari’s misery was compounded when Michael Luvutsi was also given matching orders for body-checking Tusker FC player.

While challenging the FKF to maintain the integrity of the game, Owoko wants only competent referees to officiate league matches.

“What we witnessed yesterday was terrible, I had two players sent off for minor offenses and it is not good for the game. The referee wasn’t biased because he also made some mistakes on Tusker’s side but his performance was poor. We will miss two key players in our next game which is a huge blow. FKF should ensure that only qualified and competent referees handle matches,” he said.

Following the win, Bandari climbed to 7th on the log with 22 points.
