Kenya Premier League (KPL) outfit, Bandari FC, yet again failed to live up to expectations after none of their stars made it to the 2017 Sports Journalist Association of Kenya (SJAK)/Kenya Premier League (KPL) awards nominees list. This was the second time fate had seemingly conspired to deny the Coast-based side an opportunity to shine after none of the team's players made it to the Harambee Stars squad for the ongoing Cecafa senior challenge tournament.Despite enduring a turbulent 2017 campaign that saw them finish a distant tenth, it was widely expected that individual talent that had sparkled would make it to the awards list that was released on Monday.Players like Darius Msagha, Baron Oketch and Mohammed Siraj were instrumental but failed to make it to the SJAK cut, much to the disappointment of the docker's fans.

The awards gala will be going down on December 18 at the Jacaranda Hotel in Nairobi.
