With only five days remaining to the much-awaited 2017 KPL season kick-off, Bandari FC fans have been asked to come out in large numbers as the side welcomes league newbies Nakumatt FC at Mbaraki Stadium on Saturday.
While making the rallying call to the team's fan base, Bandari Technical Director Edward Oduor said that the team represents the entire Coast region hence the need for support."I wish to appeal to soccer lovers in the entire Coast province to show patriotism and turn up in large numbers to cheer up the team. Bandari is the pride of the Coast and the boys require your morale support," Oduor said.On the Paul Nkata-factor on the team's league title prospects, Oduor lauded the former Tusker FC coach for blending youth and experience in the team."Nkata brings a wealth of experience to Bandari having won the KPL title with Tusker FC and we hope these achievement will be replicated here. Since his arrival, we have seen positive progress and players have adapted to his philosophy. We look forward to good results," he added, as quoted by goal.com.The Dockers are hoping to install themselves as KPL title contenders having endured a torrid 2016 season.
