The Kenyan football fraternity has been thrown into mourning following the untimely demise of Bandari Fc team manager Charles Obwoka on Wednesday night.
The long-serving football administrator is said to have collapsed in his bathroom after watching an English premier league encounter between Arsenal and Chelsea late Wednesday evening.
He was later rushed to Alfaruk Hospital with breathing complications but he could not access oxygen services before being referred to Mewa Hospital where he succumbed on arrival.
His body is lying at the Jocham Mortuary in Mombasa.
Strangely, the burly administrator was present as the Dockers resumed training for the 2018 KPL campaign on Wednesday and showed no indication of failing health.
Bandari had however suspended further training following the unfortunate incidence and were present at the Jocham mortuary to condole with family and friends.
The deceased who is survived by a wife and three daughters has served in the said position since 2005.
